 Cisarro (Cristobal)

This is a story of child that have to still to live, with the bad influences of his family this boy smoke and drink alcohol.

Eighth of 10 children of the same mother and 4 differents fathers . The oldest was arrested for assault and the younger sisters are  held in a  Sename center for abuse. A reality of poverty, vulnerability and social risk which can make us understand the behaviour of "Cisarro".

If there was a teleton to rehabilitate juvenile offenders, Cristobal would be the poster child. Between seven and eleven  years he  had been arrested 24 times.  

Four years ago, the situation of Cristobal provoked some programs were reformulated , they were drafted and were made many promises.

State's first response was to submit to psychiatric treatment. For seven months remained hospitalized in one room with surveillance camera and police escort.

The child lived with his mother. They received a welfare of 60 000 pesos. The child was the leader of a gang of child offenders.

Late last year, however, the family returned to Santiago and the boy turned to crime. On April 24, he was arrested after threatening with a toy gun to a cashier in a gas station.

The difference is that now Cristobal is 15 years. he can assume responsibilities, and the police can apply alternative penalties.
